A Nebula, derived from the Latin word "cloud" is defined as an interstellar cloud of dust, hydrogen gas, helium gas, and other ionised gases. The word "Nebula" was originally used as a general name to describe any extended astronomical object (including galaxies beyond the Milky Way). Nebulae are often star forming regions in which the formations of gas, dust as well as other materials are clumped together to form larger masses. Once formed, these larger masses attract further matter that will eventually become big enough to form stars, planets, and other planetary system objects (Source: Nebula Wikipedia).

This youtube video is a super cool demonstration of a spaceship navigating through Nebulae while in space.

A very high quality video made to graphically enhance the experience.

Conclusion: I had so much fun creating this Wikipedia page about Nebula's for my Astronomy 10 class this semester. I just want to thank Jeff Adkins for assigning this assignment as I completely enjoyed it. I learned a lot about Nebulas through this assignment and I hope the information provided will allow other people the opportunity to learn about Nebula's as well.

Thank you,

Shane McCloud
